Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off. With an all-out effort, Buffalo Timişoara's Wilson Amorim threw himself towards the right post 6 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Valentin Voicu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 7th minute of the match Buffalo Timişoara got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Franky Ooms ran over to the corner to take the kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 14th minute of play forced Buffalo Timişoara's goalkeeper Alisson Becker to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Buffalo Timişoara's zone, Viriato Moura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alisson Becker came out of the goal and Viriato Moura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alisson Becker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Benitez in the 31st minute of the match. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Benitez in the 33rd minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Benitez. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emil Banciu, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Franky Ooms might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wilson Amorim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Franky Ooms ran back to his position shaking his head. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Benitez, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augusto Benitez to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Franky Ooms made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Emil Banciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Emil Banciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Benitez in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th match minute, Buffalo Timişoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Neicu to maneuver through the defense. Buffalo Timişoara's Adrian Zbora was substituted for Franky Ooms. A collision led to Buffalo Timişoara getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Maxim Pintilie hit a great ball. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel took a good shot, in the 70th minute, which hit the crossbar above Alisson Becker's head, and flew over the goal. Buffalo Timişoara's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Portugal. In the 74th minute, Pavel Chibulcutean hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buffalo Timişoara's Alisson Becker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 75th minute of play. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Benitez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Valentin Voicu made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. If Valentin Voicu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 92 minutes into the game, Valentin Voicu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adrian Zbora in the 95th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Buffalo Timişoara fully deserved thier win.
