But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bertram Svenningsen couldn't finish the play. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tommy Rudkvist charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tommy Rudkvist the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Alco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delmiro Filipo should have stopped the shot. When the final whistle sounded Denmark left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Alco FC.
