Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Ryszard Wnukowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Edward Vanderstraeten fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Wnukowski having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ryszard Wnukowski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 19 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ryszard Wnukowski. Arsenal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 22nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Wnukowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Yves Dervaux left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Arsenal's goalkeeper Ryszard Wnukowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lukasz Bronder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucas Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casper Claes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Pimentel in the 39th minute of the match. In the 42nd minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ryszard Wnukowski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 47th minute, Giotis Kourmouzis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After the first half Belgium were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giotis Kourmouzis to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Klement Wallach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edward Vanderstraeten struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Ryszard Wnukowski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Belgium. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal's zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ryszard Wnukowski came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yves Dervaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ryszard Wnukowski having to interfere. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Faron in the 61st minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Giotis Kourmouzis in the 62nd minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ryszard Wnukowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 64th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Giotis Kourmouzis made a precise shot to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Ryszard Wnukowski made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Edward Vanderstraeten came free with the goalkeeper in the 72nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Ryszard Wnukowski could save by the left post. The supporters of Arsenal booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurens Vandamme didn't get a good kick on the ball. It was beautiful to see Arsenal's Giotis Kourmouzis in action when he in the 80th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! The supporters of Arsenal booed when Belgium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sander Dermaut didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 89th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ryszard Wnukowski was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. The Belgium supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Belgium would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
