Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Codruț Macaneață kicked off to start the match. In the 10th minute, Codruț Macaneață ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hias Nüssli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. After 13 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Cristinel Uncheşelu. Samuele Kunz took the ball and in the 14 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dacian Ghițescu. Dacian Ghițescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. In the 17th minute, Samuele Kunz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hias Nüssli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Codruț Macaneață in the 22nd minute of the match. Jacinto Maurer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dacian Ghițescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Codruț Macaneață in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Switzerland's goalie prevented a goal. Hias Nüssli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Codruț Macaneață, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Codruț Macaneață could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Hias Nüssli made a huge save. Aristide Fetea fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hias Nüssli having to interfere. After 43 played minutes PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca got a freekick which was hit by Lucian Şimonca. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuele Kunz was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Switzerland booed when PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian Culcer didn't get a good kick on the ball. PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca made a substitution. Felix Mihăilescu replaced Aristide Fetea. Sebastian Culcer hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Codruț Macaneață's late challenge caught a Switzerland's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Codruț Macaneață helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th minute, Codruț Macaneață hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Switzerland:s Hias Nüssli showed great skill when he stopped Sebastian Culcer:s penalty. 65 minutes into the game, PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Sebastian Culcer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hias Nüssli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. A collision led to PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Costel Gurgui hit a great ball. 73 minutes into the game, Felix Mihăilescu cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Hias Nüssli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dacian Ghițescu made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Jacinto Maurer sent off a good shot on target. If Radu Cigu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match had gone on for 85 minutes, Felix Mihăilescu put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hias Nüssli. A sloppy throw-in by Leo Allemann in the 96th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca's Lucian Şimonca. The PHOENIX Cluj-Napoca players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
