FC Hamunaptra's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran over to the corner to take the kick. After a rather tough play, FC Hamunaptra's 肖南珂 got a free kick in the 16th minute. In the 18th minute David Nekesa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gustaaf Groeneveldt scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Dorado, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 23rd minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 26th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eduardo Dorado didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After 36 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eduardo Dorado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. In the 44th minute David Nekesa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Lars Meesters's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Dorado read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. 63 minutes had been played when some careless play by Netherlands's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Wilson Nzeki was slow to take the kick. During this time FC Hamunaptra's players had a chance to rest. 67 minutes in the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Eduardo Dorado having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt made a precise shot to the right of Eduardo Dorado. FC Hamunaptra's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Eduardo Dorado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 77 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Eduardo Dorado, 0-6. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-6. 96 minutes into the match, FC Hamunaptra's goalkeeper Eduardo Dorado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
