Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dorival Sarmento took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eduardo Dorado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 6th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lars Meesters to maneuver through the defense. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Sarmento in the 10th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Omar Njoroge in the 15th minute of play. 19 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Eduardo Dorado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Dorado having to interfere. Eduardo Dorado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Dorado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. If Gijsbert ter Kruimer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnout Reekers was out of position in the 35 minute of play, and David Nekesa capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. David Nekesa really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Eduardo Dorado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 41st minute of the match. Bas Tuitert hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. In the 48th minute Omar Njoroge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. FC Hamunaptra's Eduardo Dorado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 57th minute of play. In the 59th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eduardo Dorado was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 63rd minute Dorival Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 66th minute after FC Hamunaptra's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathijn Doctor to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Nicolae Ceaușescu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnout Reekers. Netherlands's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nicolae Ceaușescu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Eduardo Dorado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 75th minute Netherlands were awarded a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Lars Meesters got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Eduardo Dorado quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 肖南珂 kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorival Sarmento in the 81st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duncan Mwaura's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Duncan Mwaura helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Netherlands booed when FC Hamunaptra was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duncan Mwaura didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gijsbert ter Kruimer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eduardo Dorado breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Omar Njoroge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
