The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After some careless play in the LA MAQUINA F.C defense, Mathijn Doctor kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Higinio Porfiro. The LA MAQUINA F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Higinio Porfiro should have stopped the shot. 8 minutes into the game, Gijsbert ter Kruimer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Higinio Porfiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 13 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro. Higinio Porfiro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th minute of the match, Hamish McShimes tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Arnout Reekers saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 21st minute, Isidoro Playo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to LA MAQUINA F.C getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Loco Borja hit a great ball. The supporters of LA MAQUINA F.C booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Eikelkamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Valentin Makovskiy managed to get in a good position for a shot. LA MAQUINA F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Valentin Makovskiy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Higinio Porfiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 29th minute of the match. David Eikelkamp scored 0-4 in the 35th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Higinio Porfiro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gustaaf Groeneveldt took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Higinio Porfiro. Higinio Porfiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The supporters of LA MAQUINA F.C booed when Netherlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Egbert Nijveldt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Higinio Porfiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 46th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-5 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

With a little luck, LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Valentin Makovskiy kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. 64 minutes into the match, LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. LA MAQUINA F.C's Higinio Porfiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 66th minute of play. 67 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Higinio Porfiro. LA MAQUINA F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gustaaf Groeneveldt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-6. LA MAQUINA F.C's Santo Colas managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Kees Mooiweer in the 72 minute of the game. Rigoberto Turi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Arnout Reekers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lars Meesters had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 80 minutes into the game, Rigoberto Turi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-6. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, LA MAQUINA F.C's Isidoro Playo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Gijsbert ter Kruimer got in the 85th minute a good position and tried a long shot which to a great surprise passed a very astonished Higinio Porfiro. This was a shot which ended in a score of 2-7. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 89th minute of play forced LA MAQUINA F.C's goalkeeper Higinio Porfiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Porfiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 91st minute of the match. 94 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Rigoberto Turi came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th match minute, Netherlands was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gijsbert ter Kruimer to maneuver through the defense. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than LA MAQUINA F.C throughout the match.
