The referee ignored GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's protests and gave Wieslaw Zakrzewski a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's Wieslaw Zakrzewski got a free kick in the 5th minute. Bakos Endre made in the 8th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Balazs Lajos. The supporters of Hungary booed when GIOVANNI DZIADZIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wieslaw Zakrzewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 13th minute of play forced GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goalkeeper Iker Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dawid Rywin scored 1-0 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 1-1 became the score in the 21st minute when Antal Valentin elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Iker Boruc reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wojciech Kaczynski kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Balazs Lajos shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iker Boruc showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Iker Boruc having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 46th minute of play forced GIOVANNI DZIADZIA's goalkeeper Iker Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Dawid Rywin was the one to do the kick off. Iker Boruc made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dawid Rywin couldn't finish the play. Teobald Kempski hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 92nd minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Boruc was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 95th match minute, GIOVANNI DZIADZIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teobald Kempski to maneuver through the defense. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
