The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Yu Bing Xiao hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 5 minutes, Ottó Fejes took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Flavio Vittori to make any attempt to save it. 9 minutes into the match, Monitor Huáscar's goal looked a bit too open when Siricio Liotta came free, but Apostol Sokolov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 11 minutes of play, Italy's Siricio Liotta made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Apostol Sokolov was left in no man's land by his defense there! Apostol Sokolov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zaccheo Andolina, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. In the 16thth minute of the game Ottó Fejes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 minutes Italy's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Paulo Fallabes who took care of the corner kick. Monitor Huáscar's Paulo Fallabes was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Flavio Vittori in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 19th minute of play forced Monitor Huáscar's goalkeeper Apostol Sokolov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Monitor Huáscar's Johnny Nyström got a free kick in the 21st minute. In the 23rd minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Apostol Sokolov was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 30th match minute, Monitor Huáscar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazario Victorica to maneuver through the defense. Apostol Sokolov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute Zaccheo Andolina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Apostol Sokolov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ottó Fejes struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Flavio Vittori didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Monitor Huáscar. Apostol Sokolov took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Monitor Huáscar's Constantino Carabajo was substituted for Bernardinho Bala. The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. In the 63rd minute, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Apostol Sokolov. Apostol Sokolov yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. Monitor Huáscar made a substitution. Chiquito Rico replaced Ottó Fejes. The corner ended in Siricio Liotta almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Monitor Huáscar's Apostol Sokolov did a great save. In the 90th minute of the match Italy got a corner. Monitor Huáscar's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Siricio Liotta ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led to Italy's Porziano Marchitelli getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After having played for 92 minutes, Chiquito Rico managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Monitor Huáscar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiquito Rico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Adriano Curto who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Apostol Sokolov when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Monitor Huáscar.
