In the 26th match minute, Downchester City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabio Bouzas to maneuver through the defense. 27 minutes into the match, Downchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Sanda Cutov came free, but Fumo Canuto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Romania's Carol Stinga got control of the ball when Jose Heredia tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 31st minute, Adam Olaru got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Romania's Carol Stinga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mazuste Nobo in the 52nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Downchester City's zone, Sanda Cutov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fumo Canuto came out of the goal and Sanda Cutov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cosmin Barbulescu made a great header on Romania's corner, it was just that Downchester City's Fumo Canuto managed to reach the ball for a save. If Anton Stinga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Downchester City's Manolito Cano was substituted for Fabio Bouzas. In the 67th minute, Jose Heredia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Downchester City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Romania's Alexandru Pangratiu was substituted for Alex Serban. Downchester City's Niceto Ponte quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Octavian Vaduva, made in the 76th minute of the game. Downchester City's Fumo Canuto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Downchester City from getting a goal against them. Fumo Canuto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sanda Cutov in the 82nd minute of play. In the 87th minute the ball was on its way in behind Downchester City's goalkeeper Fumo Canuto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Vasile Ciumak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Downchester City's goal looked a bit too open when Sanda Cutov came free, but Fumo Canuto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Downchester City fans cheered their team off the field, for while Romania had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
