In the 11th minute, Gabino Jauregui hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Graciano Coutinho hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Leon Goretzka went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 20th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arcadio Buendia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leon Goretzka in the 29th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Caetano Moreira got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Arcadio Buendia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Caetano Moreira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Alzaga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Arcadio Buendia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arcadio Buendia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 42nd minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leon Goretzka stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 51st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arcadio Buendia. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. Alzaga FC's Arcadio Buendia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Alzaga FC from getting a goal against them. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Leon Goretzka kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. Felipe Barreto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arcadio Buendia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Arcadio Buendia made a huge save. If Leon Goretzka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alzaga FC made a substitution. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Alzaga FC had won after a very even match.
