In the 2nd minute, Emil Vándor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henrich Slany was out of position in the 8 minute of play, and Tamás Lázár capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Tamás Lázár really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. In the 17th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stefan Havel to maneuver through the defense. Henrich Slany didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dénes Sinkó went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Pavol Koleno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Slovakia booed when Andrashida was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. János Döbrögi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pavol Koleno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ignác Fejes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by József Fekete during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, József Fekete hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Metod Mlynar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Slovakia's supporters rose to their feet, but Metod Mlynar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ignác Fejes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Slovakia's zone, Dénes Sinkó stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henrich Slany came out of the goal and Dénes Sinkó tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Metod Mlynar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Metod Mlynar's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ignác Fejes firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Andrashida's Géza Herman in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Slovakia's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Slovakia's Vít Biskup got a free kick in the 54th minute. In the 58th match minute, Slovakia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ondrej Biskup to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 59 minutes, Kálmán Szaniszló managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Andrashida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kálmán Szaniszló was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Andrashida getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Norbert Kalmár hit a great ball. 65 minutes in the game, Metod Mlynar fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Ignác Fejes having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Slovakia's goal looked a bit too open when András Káposztás came free, but Henrich Slany reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Géza Herman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrich Slany was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. After 70 played minutes Slovakia got a freekick which was hit by Vavrinec Koleno. Slovakia's Henrich Slany played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by András Káposztás in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Géza Herman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Andrashida's supporters rose to their feet, but Géza Herman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Henrich Slany breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tamás Lázár received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Henrich Slany tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Henrich Slany took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tamás Lázár, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Henrich Slany made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Géza Herman in the 92nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Géza Herman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Henrich Slany was relentless in the 96th minute of the game. Andrashida walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
