The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th minute, Jonas Veloso made a precise shot to the right of Gavino Orlan. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Tiago Gabriel Mesquita scored 2-0 in the 6th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gavino Orlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 11 minutes into the match, César de Godoi had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gavino Orlan. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that César de Godoi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Vasco FC's Wellington Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Tano in the 17th minute of play. If Narciso Tano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jonathan Cresencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Orlan came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Vasco FC's César de Godoi. But to his dismay, César de Godoi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. In the 31st minute of the match Saverio Ladio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Barbosa skillfully saved the ball. 31 minutes into the match, Vasco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Narciso Tano came free, but Wellington Barbosa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Abelardo Ponciano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Gavino Orlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ from getting a goal against them. Jonas Veloso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Gavino Orlan made a huge save. Gavino Orlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César de Godoi in the 41st minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Narciso Tano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Narciso Tano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 46 played minutes Tiago Gabriel Mesquita rounded ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 5-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Gavino Orlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tiago Gabriel Mesquita went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 6-1 was the resulting score. In the 60th minute of the match, Narciso Tano got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wellington Barbosa was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 62 minutes into the game, Jonas Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vasco FC's Jerônimo Severo got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 71st minute, Gil Motta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vasco FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 7-1.
