The crowd rose to their feet as Vasco FC's Tiago Gabriel Mesquita slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vergil Karakolev. That made the score 1-1 after 16 minutes of play. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Tiago Gabriel Mesquita took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Vergil Karakolev to make any attempt to save it. Totyo Trizlov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Barbosa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuil Kusitasev, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. 28 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Progreso's goalkeeper Vergil Karakolev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonas Veloso. When Milcho Mitzovski fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Deportivo Progreso's protests and gave Milcho Mitzovski a yellow card for diving instead. After 31 played minutes Club Deportivo Progreso got a freekick which was hit by Milcho Mitzovski. Vergil Karakolev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jonas Veloso went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. After 38 played minutes Vasco FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Gabriel Mesquita. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donyo Irinchev in the 46th minute of play forced Vasco FC's goalkeeper Wellington Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Donyo Irinchev in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wellington Barbosa prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gil Motta was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Gil Motta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Vergil Karakolev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vergil Karakolev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from André Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vergil Karakolev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tiago Gabriel Mesquita, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Emanuil Kusitasev was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 62nd minute. Club Deportivo Progreso's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Emanuil Kusitasev could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Wellington Barbosa made a huge save. 76 minutes into the game, Donyo Irinchev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Deportivo Progreso's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vasco FC the free kick. Club Deportivo Progreso's Vergil Karakolev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by André Prestes in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Jonas Veloso ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vergil Karakolev was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-1. Vergil Karakolev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Prestes in the 96th minute of the match. Vasco FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
