Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Gil Motta made the kick off which started today's match. Wellington Barbosa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Alcântara, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute, Denílson Ramalho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Vasco FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Jerônimo Severo hit a great ball. The Vasco FC fans' excitement grew in the 12th match minute when Vasco FC's Raphael de Medeiros looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 16 played minutes AF CERRADO got a freekick which was hit by Severino Alcântara. In the 19th minute of the match AF CERRADO got a corner. Vasco FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Paulo Leme ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Paulo Leme got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wellington Barbosa quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Lino Araújo was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Tiago Gabriel Mesquita. Severino Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After 35 minutes of play, AF CERRADO's Maicon Gonçalves made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Barbosa was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Gil Motta put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Lino Araújo. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Severino Alcântara managed to get in a good position for a shot. AF CERRADO's supporters rose to their feet, but Severino Alcântara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Barbosa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Vasco FC's Wellington Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maicon Gonçalves in the 45th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Maicon Gonçalves to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Maicon Gonçalves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wellington Barbosa was relentless in the 52nd minute of the game. 53 minutes into the match, Raphael de Medeiros notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of AF CERRADO's Lino Araújo. Lino Araújo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. César de Godoi might have been able to make a better finish in the 57th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lino Araújo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. César de Godoi ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to AF CERRADO getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ismael Pinheiro hit a great ball. Raphael de Medeiros took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lino Araújo. Lino Araújo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Raphael de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lino Araújo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 70 minutes into the game, Inácio Penha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vasco FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AF CERRADO the free kick. After a rather tough play, Vasco FC's Inácio Penha got a free kick in the 70th minute. In the 71st minute of the match Paulo Leme sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Wellington Barbosa skillfully saved the ball. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Gil Velloso took a quick shot and it went in 4-2 without a chance for Wellington Barbosa to make any attempt to save it. Vasco FC's Inácio Penha got his second yellow card of the match in the 83rd minute. The referee ordered Inácio Penha off the ground. Inácio Penha kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. In the 84th minute, Paulo Leme got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 86th minute, one of Vasco FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vasco FC. 91 minutes into the match, AF CERRADO's Gil Velloso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wellington Barbosa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Vasco FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Raphael de Medeiros hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Vasco FC's zone, Paulo Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wellington Barbosa came out of the goal and Paulo Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maicon Gonçalves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Wellington Barbosa when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 96th minute, Wiliam Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of AF CERRADO's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. AF CERRADO may have spent more time on the ball, but Vasco FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
