In the 17th match minute, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonathan Cresencio to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Trancoso recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eliseu Pinheiro hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. The long shot by Saverio Ladio in the 22nd minute really tested Valdo Catarinense's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Gavino Orlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leopoldo Trancoso in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Júlio Eger left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SORRISO E. C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. A collision led to SORRISO E. C. getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Cláudio Couto hit a great ball. In the 37th minute of the match Saverio Ladio sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Valdo Catarinense skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isaac Vistruario didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leopoldo Trancoso in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gavino Orlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 40 played minutes ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ got a freekick which was hit by Isaac Vistruario. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Narciso Tano stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Eliseu Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. Gavino Orlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Couto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Gavino Orlan made a huge save. In the 57th minute, Eliseu Pinheiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Narciso Tano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavino Orlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leopoldo Trancoso in the 64th minute of play. Gavino Orlan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Leopoldo Trancoso in the 65th minute. Gaudencio Vargas struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Valdo Catarinense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★. In the 72nd match minute, SORRISO E. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Salgado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 86 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Agostinho Pombal. Narciso Tano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 87th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★'s Gavino Orlan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Tano in the 93rd minute of play forced SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Valdo Catarinense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abelardo Ponciano got his second yellow card in the match during the 95th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Abelardo Ponciano kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Vítor Sousa struck a weak shot in the 97th minute. Gavino Orlan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SORRISO E. C.. When the referee blew the final whistle, ★ᴇꜱᴛᴜᴅɪᴀɴᴛᴇꜱ ᴅᴇ ʟᴀ ᴘʟᴀᴛᴀ★ could leave the field as winners, despite SORRISO E. C. having more of the ball for most of the match.
