Bebeto Paranaense made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Maximo Lico sent off a good shot on target. Denílson Ferreira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Fidel Lorien tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 34 minutes into the game, Adhemar Sabóia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Fidel Lorien was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Fidel Lorien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 39 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Costa came free, but Fidel Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
