In the 11th minute, Joaquim Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bebeto Paranaense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Edvaldo Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Diego Costa's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. Wilson Duarte's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wilson Duarte helped the player get up and apologised. In the 24th minute, Wilson Duarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the match, Joaquim Queirós notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Grêmio RK75's Bebeto Paranaense. Bebeto Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Joaquim Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Joaquim Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquim Queirós kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 28 played minutes, Grêmio RK75's Joaquim Gerber shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Grêmio RK75 reached it. 29 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Diego Costa. 33 minutes into the game, Adhemar Sabóia recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Edvaldo Leal. Adhemar Sabóia showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. After having played for 40 minutes, Reginaldo de Brito managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SORRISO E. C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Reginaldo de Brito was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 44 played minutes SORRISO E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Júlio Faria. In the 47th minute, Adhemar Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Diego Costa to make the kick off. Edvaldo Leal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Costa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 56 played minutes Grêmio RK75 got a freekick which was hit by Benjamin de Barros. An unexpectedly hard shot by Reginaldo de Brito in the 69th minute of play forced Grêmio RK75's goalkeeper Bebeto Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edvaldo Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adhemar Sabóia's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joaquim Queirós got free with Bebeto Paranaense in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Artur Branco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bebeto Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 92nd match minute, Grêmio RK75 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquim Gerber to maneuver through the defense. After 93 played minutes, SORRISO E. C.'s Jairo Madureira shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bebeto Paranaense came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in SORRISO E. C. reached it. SORRISO E. C. played a much better game than Grêmio RK75 and deserved their victory. The Grêmio RK75 players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
