Monte Hermoso Beach's Fidel Lorien played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldo Pirani in the 13th minute of play. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lisandro Hodei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fidel Lorien showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ronaldo Pirani in the 17th minute of the match. 21 minutes into the match, Benjamin Arotza notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Palestra do Interior's Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Antônio Carlos Cavalcante was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Erubiel Bilintx kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. That made the score 2-2 in the 26 minute of play. The supporters of Monte Hermoso Beach booed when Palestra do Interior was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldo Pirani didn't get a good kick on the ball. 32 minutes into the game, Benjamin Arotza recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. Benjamin Arotza showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. Fidel Lorien showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zé Orella, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Zé Orella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Lorien having to interfere.

The wind increased when Maximo Lico made the kick off in the second half. In the 69th match minute, Monte Hermoso Beach was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Bladi to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Palestra do Interior getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Ronaldo Pirani hit a great ball. If Maximo Lico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some careless play in the Palestra do Interior defense, Benjamin Arotza kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antônio Carlos Cavalcante. The Palestra do Interior fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antônio Carlos Cavalcante should have stopped the shot. 83 minutes into the match, Monte Hermoso Beach's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Orella came free, but Fidel Lorien reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
