Gaspar Magdaleno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute Júlio Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enrique Belasko saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the game, Galáctico Azul FC™'s Eulalio Vincent nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edvaldo Leal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Eulalio Vincent 24 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Enrique Belasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artur Branco, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goalkeeper Edvaldo Leal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gaspar Magdaleno. Reinaldo Marquez charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reinaldo Marquez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reinaldo Marquez kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jairo Madureira in the 40th minute of play forced Galáctico Azul FC™'s goalkeeper Enrique Belasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, SORRISO E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Generoso Michael came free, but Edvaldo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Enrique Belasko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Artur Branco in the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Eulalio Vincent made the kick off in the second half. Edvaldo Leal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaspar Magdaleno's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. Erasmo Celino's late challenge caught a SORRISO E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erasmo Celino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 59th minute, Erasmo Celino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SORRISO E. C.'s Agostinho Pombal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 64th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrique Belasko but with some difficulty. Galáctico Azul FC™'s Alfredo Xabel suffered a sore thigh after 73 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Júlio Faria fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SORRISO E. C.'s protests and gave Júlio Faria a yellow card for diving instead. Galáctico Azul FC™ made a substitution. Honorio Ritchie replaced Alfredo Xabel. Júlio Faria hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Enrique Belasko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute.
