Real Ale Madrid's Anselmo Papo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mikkel Wulff in the 25th minute of play. Keld Paulsen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Esbjörn Fågel went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Denmark's Bjarne Kirkegaard got a free kick in the 29th minute. Ged Boyce made in the 32nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Esbjörn Fågel however managed to control. Lars Steen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Real Ale Madrid getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Esbjörn Fågel hit a great ball. 37 minutes into the match, Esbjörn Fågel dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Keld Paulsen, 2-1. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Real Ale Madrid's goalkeeper Anselmo Papo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Esbjörn Fågel was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Real Ale Madrid's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Denmark the free kick. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Chris Nygaard made the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 51 minutes, Anselmo Papo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Real Ale Madrid's Anselmo Papo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 57th minute of play. If Seb Thackray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anselmo Papo made a fantastic save in the 61st minute, when Chris Nygaard sent off a good shot on target. Ged Boyce made in the 63rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Seb Thackray immediately put the ball in play. Anselmo Papo stood somewhat misplaced when Chris Nygaard came free in front of goal and shot 2-3 to the left of him in the 73 minute. Chris Nygaard who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Anselmo Papo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chris Nygaard in the 78th minute of play forced Real Ale Madrid's goalkeeper Anselmo Papo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 84th minute Fernando Grealish shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Keld Paulsen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Zachariasz Hoffman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match was over Denmark could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Real Ale Madrid throughout the match.
