Todos al Fondo were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Portugal's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Herbert Walmarsson took the corner. In the 19th minute Todos al Fondo were awarded a corner. Herbert Walmarsson went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Todos al Fondo's Jacobo Fidele to fire away a dangerous shot which Wilson Amorim despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Jacobo Fidele took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. Todos al Fondo's Justino Gotzon got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Todos al Fondo's Orlando Rivera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Caetano Moreira in the 28th minute of play. Todos al Fondo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Portugal the free kick. A collision led to Todos al Fondo getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Orlando Rivera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

A collision led to Portugal getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Daniel Pimentel hit a great ball. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Gotzon in the 52nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Herbert Walmarsson got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Wilson Amorim quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Orlando Rivera made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Felipe Barreto sent off a good shot on target. Justino Gotzon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. In the 59th minute of the game Bruno Bastos made a throw-in which Daniel Pimentel played forward. Felipe Barreto made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 61stth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Orlando Rivera would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. A hard shot 65 in the game by Felipe Barreto from a close distance when the talented Orlando Rivera managed to make a qualified save. Todos al Fondo's players were relieved. Felipe Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Orlando Rivera made a huge save. Portugal's Felipe Barreto got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Orlando Rivera showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Carlos Galván in the 75 minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 80th minute of play forced Todos al Fondo's goalkeeper Orlando Rivera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonid Afteni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 89thth minute of the game Bartolomeu Dias who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Todos al Fondo's Orlando Rivera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Todos al Fondo's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maurito Boselli in the 91st minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leonid Afteni took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Todos al Fondo fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
