The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 3 minutes, Eray Zümer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Team Calamity SC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eray Zümer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Bastos's late challenge caught a Team Calamity SC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Bastos helped the player get up and apologised. Bruno Bastos kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eray Zümer in the 6th minute. Wilson Amorim made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Eray Zümer sent off a good shot on target. Hüsrev Akyazı's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match, Eray Zümer got a very nice opportunity to score, but Wilson Amorim was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 14th minute Hüsrev Akyazı shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Eray Zümer lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Wilson Amorim. Ryszard Gomolka charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ryszard Gomolka the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Portugal's Felipe Barreto looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Caetano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute Caetano Moreira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sungurhan Saygın saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şamil Hür, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Daniel Pimentel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Şamil Hür, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. Sungurhan Saygın made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 43rd minute of play. 1-2 became the score in the 48th minute when Caetano Moreira elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eray Zümer was the one to do the kick off. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hüsrev Akyazı in the 53rd minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Eray Zümer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Amorim was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şamil Hür, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 62 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Eray Zümer came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Portugal's Graciano Coutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. 77 minutes into the game, Team Calamity SC's Şamil Hür nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. In the 81st minute Eray Zümer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Ricardo Barea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ricardo Barea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. In the 85th minute Eray Zümer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wilson Amorim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eray Zümer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eray Zümer's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. Team Calamity SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
