Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 4th minute of play forced Atlético Maravilla's goalkeeper Cordairo Segura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cordairo Segura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cordairo Segura having to interfere. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Hidalgo in the 21st minute of play. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aniceto Campello, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cordairo Segura came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Antal Valentin. But to his dismay, Antal Valentin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Maravilla's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordairo Segura came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cordairo Segura stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antal Valentin's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Major Barna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cordairo Segura read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antal Valentin made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dionisio Hidalgo in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fodor Daniel saved Hungary from getting behind. 55 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Dionisio Hidalgo came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leopoldo de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Quentin Gonzalez in the 60th minute of play. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Cordairo Segura tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leopoldo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Major Barna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Atlético Maravilla's zone, Takacs Tibor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cordairo Segura came out of the goal and Takacs Tibor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cordairo Segura came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Hungary's Antal Valentin. But to his dismay, Antal Valentin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Antal Valentin struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Cordairo Segura didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hungary. Atlético Maravilla made a substitution. Tamer Özguner replaced Herminio March. Cordairo Segura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 82nd minute of play. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dionisio Hidalgo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Isi Courtois charged in rather forcefully in the 90th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isi Courtois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hungary booed when Atlético Maravilla was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isi Courtois didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 92nd minute, Elano Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
