The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frank Sachs to strike the kick off in the second half. Bruninho Prado made in the 52nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hudson Toscano immediately put the ball in play. Sven Krakouer kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. If Nilson Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fernando Lucas's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nilson Duarte in the 80th minute of play. After 81 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Malte Schiele. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Adriano Tande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 92nd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Germany players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Independente FC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
