The Last Stand
Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Karim Benzema got the match started through his kick off. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karim Benzema in the 6th minute of play. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Trifon Voutsinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Trifon Voutsinas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karim Benzema, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Trifon Voutsinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Punisher FC's Trifon Voutsinas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 25th minute of play. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Punisher FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. David Eikelkamp hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Jakša Tipurić cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Trifon Voutsinas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Lars Meesters sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gijsbert ter Kruimer stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Punisher FC's goalkeeper Trifon Voutsinas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt. Jakša Tipurić scored 2-2 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Wim Wilmes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Trifon Voutsinas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Wim Wilmes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Trifon Voutsinas managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 67th minute, Jakša Tipurić ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Arnout Reekers was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. Punisher FC made a substitution. Mileta Dekanić replaced Marcos Rojo. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 81 minutes into the game, Borko Blaškić was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Punisher FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Netherlands the free kick. Punisher FC's Mato Dujmović quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gust Ennemans, made in the 85th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karim Benzema in the 86th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Punisher FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Wim Wilmes was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Punisher FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Netherlands had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
