The audience was convinced that Wim Wilmes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yavuz Selimhan Gulson was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 23 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Harun Nazır came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32ndth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC KALELİ's Yavuz Selimhan Gulson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yavuz Selimhan Gulson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. When İlhami Uzalp fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC KALELİ's protests and gave İlhami Uzalp a yellow card for diving instead. İlhami Uzalp hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harun Nazır got free with Arnout Reekers in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gijsbert ter Kruimer to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes FC KALELİ got a freekick which was hit by Nadir Ünlüol. 54 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Yavuz Selimhan Gulson threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Gijsbert ter Kruimer this time. When the referee blew the final whistle, FC KALELİ could leave the field as winners, despite Netherlands having more of the ball for most of the match.
