With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alberto Bracco saved Old BaoBaB Accademy from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Bracco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alberto Bracco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wim Wilmes went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Bracco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amos Valente in the 26th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Old BaoBaB Accademy's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Alberto Bracco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Gijsbert ter Kruimer quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Wim Wilmes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Netherlands's supporters rose to their feet, but Wim Wilmes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alberto Bracco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Bracco having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Mathijn Doctor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 62 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Bracco made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 70 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alberto Bracco, 0-5. Netherlands's Wim Wilmes got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Aldo Rocchi charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aldo Rocchi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Old BaoBaB Accademy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aldo Rocchi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Meesters fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Bracco having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-7. Alberto Bracco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 89th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Alberto Bracco. The goal made the score 0-8. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alberto Bracco having to interfere. The Old BaoBaB Accademy fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
