Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Viriato Moura got the match started through his kick off. In the 5th minute Bengt-Rune Fastesson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bengt-Rune Fastesson did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Wilson Amorim 6 minutes into the match. The throw-in from Hu Xi in the 16th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel. ACF Fiorentina's Claudinei Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 16th minute of play. Portugal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Horia Anisie scored to the left of an out of position Wilson Amorim, making the score, 2-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 23rd minute, Horia Anisie managed to get in a good position for a shot. ACF Fiorentina's supporters rose to their feet, but Horia Anisie was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 24th match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Ariel Jesus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Wilson Amorim made a huge save. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isaac Intxixu, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 34th minute of the game Hu Xi made a throw-in which Ariel Jesus played forward. Claudinei Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viriato Moura in the 37th minute of play forced ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Claudinei Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 39 minutes ACF Fiorentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Felipe Barreto who took care of the corner kick. After 39 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Rodolfo Miranda. A throw-in in the 41st minute of the game was made by Hu Xi with Ciriaco Urdaspal as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 42nd minute, Hu Xi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Claudinei Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 46th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bengt-Rune Fastesson was the one to do the kick off. Claudinei Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 57th minute of the match. In the 65th minute, Portugal's Viriato Moura dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Hildeberto Carvalho replaced Ariel Jesus. ACF Fiorentina made a substitution. Federico Teofilio replaced Bengt-Rune Fastesson. ACF Fiorentina's Godofredo Suarez was substituted for Isaac Intxixu. With his leg Claudinei Velloso managed to avoid a goal in the 71stth minute, when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Claudinei Velloso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Felipinho Amorim's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. ACF Fiorentina's Claudinei Velloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartolomeu Dias in the 77th minute of play. In the 78th minute, Ciriaco Urdaspal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Claudinei Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caetano Moreira. The supporters of Portugal booed when ACF Fiorentina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Mavrodin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Claudinei Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bartolomeu Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute of the match, Daniel Pimentel tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Claudinei Velloso saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After 84 minutes ACF Fiorentina's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Pimentel who took care of the corner kick. Claudinei Velloso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 86th minute of play. Felipinho Amorim might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Claudinei Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipinho Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 88th minute of play forced ACF Fiorentina's goalkeeper Claudinei Velloso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 90 minutes, Bartolomeu Dias took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Claudinei Velloso to make any attempt to save it. Claudinei Velloso came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipinho Amorim. But to his dismay, Felipinho Amorim quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-3.
