Falcão Cunha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the match, Gracie Barra's goal looked a bit too open when Sigfrido Auletta came free, but Falcão Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Augusto Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Falcão Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 31st minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Augusto Saldanha was the one to do the kick off. Gomberto Picozzi made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gianpaolo Mascari immediately put the ball in play. After having played for 55 minutes, Augusto Saldanha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gracie Barra's supporters crossed their fingers, but Augusto Saldanha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Porziano Marchitelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Falcão Cunha made a huge save. Augusto Saldanha fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Flavio Vittori having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Eliseo Cutri. Gracie Barra made a substitution. Hugo de Queirós replaced Jamey Hankins. In the 69th minute of the match, Zaccheo Andolina tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Falcão Cunha saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Italy's Siricio Liotta managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Olavo Costa in the 71 minute of the game. In the 74thth minute of the game Snorri De Hond who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Italy's Flavio Vittori was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 78 played minutes Gracie Barra got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel de Lara. Gracie Barra's Falcão Cunha played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 79th minute of play. In the 82nd minute, Zaccheo Andolina got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Italy were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
