Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Tivadar Demeter kicked off to start the match. After 3 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Szombathely Squirrels! Szombathely Squirrels:s Arnold Szuper showed great skill when he stopped Sigfrido Auletta:s penalty. Sigfrido Auletta scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnold Szuper, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porziano Marchitelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Arnold Szuper took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zaccheo Andolina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 16 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. If Zaccheo Andolina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnold Szuper didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Porziano Marchitelli went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. After having played for 29 minutes, Porziano Marchitelli managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Italy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Porziano Marchitelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnold Szuper showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Porziano Marchitelli in the 34th minute of the match. Italy's attentive Eliseo Cutri managed to snatch the ball when József Varga made a throw-in in the 36th minute of the game. 37 minutes into the match, Zaccheo Andolina had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Arnold Szuper. Szombathely Squirrels's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zaccheo Andolina was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Sigfrido Auletta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zaccheo Andolina stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from József Varga in the 51st minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Arnold Szuper made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Porziano Marchitelli sent off a good shot on target. If Tivadar Demeter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavio Vittori made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tivadar Demeter in the 56th minute of play. 59 minutes into the match, Szombathely Squirrels's goalkeeper Arnold Szuper had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zaccheo Andolina. Arnold Szuper made an important save on a dangerous shot by Porziano Marchitelli in the 65th minute. Italy's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Sigfrido Auletta in the 66th minute. Amanda Almqvist's late challenge caught a Italy's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amanda Almqvist helped the player get up and apologised. Szombathely Squirrels's Lei Jian Xiong was substituted for Tivadar Demeter. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arnold Szuper read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Italy's Guiscardo Davide was substituted for Sigfrido Auletta. Italy made a substitution. Adriano Curto replaced Zaccheo Andolina. Guiscardo Davide was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 93rd match minute, Italy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseo Cutri to maneuver through the defense. Arnold Szuper showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Curto, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. After 98 minutes Szombathely Squirrels's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Siricio Liotta who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Szombathely Squirrels's goalie and right to Guiscardo Davide. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Szombathely Squirrels's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. When the match was over Italy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Szombathely Squirrels throughout the match.
