Tommy Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Maksim Dunaevskiy's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Grigoriy Kudryavtsev in the 31st minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 36th minute of the match Geo-Winner got a corner. Germany's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Veniamin Gorshkov ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 41st minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Vladislav Davydov made in the 55th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Jorge-Luis Borges. The audience was convinced that Maksim Dunaevskiy's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tommy Kahn was relentless in the 57th minute of the game. Albin Holweck ran back to his position shaking his head. 67 minutes into the game, Vladislav Davydov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Geo-Winner's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Germany the free kick. After 68 played minutes Geo-Winner got a freekick which was hit by Vladislav Davydov. In the 71st match minute, Geo-Winner was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladislav Davydov to maneuver through the defense. Frank Sachs could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Gleb Stroganov made a huge save. After 79 minutes, Frank Sachs made it 3-2 with a short kick to the right side. Geo-Winner's Gleb Stroganov tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Despite being the better team, Geo-Winner failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
