Porvenir's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Wim Wilmes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Gomez Urrea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 8th minute of the match. Gomez Urrea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gomez Urrea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Gomez Urrea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wim Wilmes in the 14th minute of play. Arnout Reekers was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Netherlands booed when Porvenir was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ovando Felix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gomez Urrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer got a free kick in the 50th minute. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gomez Urrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guerrero Onterino in the 65th minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Wim Wilmes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Gomez Urrea, passed just outside the right post. Porvenir made a substitution. Garrido Bolide replaced Camacho Molledo. Through an outstanding action, after 70 minutes, Gomez Urrea successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hector Santiago in the 72nd minute of the match. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Urko Villaluenga was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 73rd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After 75 minutes of play, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer made it 2-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gomez Urrea was left in no man's land by his defense there! Guerrero Onterino kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. The Netherlands fans' excitement grew in the 86th match minute when Netherlands's Lars Meesters looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-5 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hector Santiago scored 3-5 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ovando Felix kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. When Gijsbert ter Kruimer came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Netherlands fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gijsbert ter Kruimer couldn't finish the play. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
