Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edward Vanderstraeten ran back to his position shaking his head. 6 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Victorio Demesio. 15 minutes into the game, Roque Claus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roque Claus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Casper Claes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Lanzenkirchen getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Nicolai Nowak hit a great ball. Karl-Åke Brummer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lanzenkirchen's Karl-Åke Brummer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 31st minute of play. Karl-Åke Brummer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Lanzenkirchen's Einar Vandborg got a good chance for a goal in the 36th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 43rd minute, Lenny Clocheret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Roque Claus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Belgium's Casper Claes got control of the ball when Einar Vandborg tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

In the 54th minute, Lenny Clocheret hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casper Claes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Claus in the 55th minute of play. 57 minutes into the match, Lanzenkirchen's goalkeeper Karl-Åke Brummer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edward Vanderstraeten. Karl-Åke Brummer made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. Victorio Demesio took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Casper Claes. Casper Claes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. When Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus in the 72nd minute got a chance for a shot 72nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belgium's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Lanzenkirchen's zone, Yves Dervaux stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Åke Brummer came out of the goal and Yves Dervaux tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Belgium defense, Roque Claus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Claes. The Belgium fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Claes should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute of the match, Edward Vanderstraeten tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Karl-Åke Brummer saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Roque Claus's late challenge caught a Belgium's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Roque Claus helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Lanzenkirchen's Roque Claus got a free kick in the 90th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Lanzenkirchen had won after a very even match.
