An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 12th minute of play forced MKS Mazur Ełk's goalkeeper Cezary Sitko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Wieslaw Zawacki sent off a good shot on target. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Juliusz Dzierwa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wieslaw Zawacki scored 2-1 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fodor Daniel, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Antal Valentin couldn't finish the play. In the 75th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bakos Endre to maneuver through the defense. If Teobald Gregorczyk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Garoa Ojesto fell near the penalty area in the 85th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MKS Mazur Ełk's protests and gave Garoa Ojesto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to MKS Mazur Ełk getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Juliusz Jerzyk hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, MKS Mazur Ełk could leave the field as winners, despite Hungary having more of the ball for most of the match.
