An unexpectedly hard shot by Adan Rico in the 51st minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The Power Rangers's Cleto Loco was substituted for Benedicto Natanael. If Gustaaf Groeneveldt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, The Power Rangers's Pete Schmeichel got control of the ball when Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute of the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Pete Schmeichel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The Netherlands supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Netherlands would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
