Eser Poyraz kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Alparslan Utkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cenk Oktar in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Cenk Oktar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alparslan Utkan. Erzincan FK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cenk Oktar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Alparslan Utkan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cenk Oktar in the 25th minute of play. Alparslan Utkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 28 minutes, Eser Poyraz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Erzincan FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eser Poyraz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alparslan Utkan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kosmas Simertzidis, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Erzincan FK's zone, Kosmas Simertzidis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alparslan Utkan came out of the goal and Kosmas Simertzidis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 34 minutes on the clock, Mustafa Emrah Özerdal commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 35 played minutes Erzincan FK got a freekick which was hit by Mustafa Emrah Özerdal. After 39 played minutes Erzincan FK got a freekick which was hit by Kutlualp Sehrud. 42 minutes into the match, Erzincan FK's goal looked a bit too open when Kosmas Simertzidis came free, but Alparslan Utkan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alparslan Utkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cenk Oktar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Kutlualp Sehrud charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kutlualp Sehrud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Manchester United booed when Erzincan FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kutlualp Sehrud didn't get a good kick on the ball. Birkan Usum charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Birkan Usum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 65 played minutes Erzincan FK got a freekick which was hit by Birkan Usum. Alparslan Utkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt in the 66th minute of the match. Alparslan Utkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giannis Bezos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erzincan FK's Alparslan Utkan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt in the 75th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bora Ulusu in the 76th minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Iosif Puric to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Manchester United's Erwin-Alexander Verduyckt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alparslan Utkan. That made the score 0-6 after 80 minutes of play. Giorgos Telakos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. In the 93rd minute, Giannis Bezos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Manchester United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-8. Cenk Oktar struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Alparslan Utkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Manchester United. The Erzincan FK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Manchester United were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
