Slawomir Malicki had several of the Erzincan FK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 22 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Alparslan Utkan as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jurand Wincek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eser Poyraz, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Alparslan Utkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ignacy Pasterski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eser Poyraz scored 1-2 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jurand Wincek, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 31 minutes into the match, Yahya Balkar had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jurand Wincek. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yahya Balkar was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. Jurand Wincek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yahya Balkar in the 34th minute of the match. Jurand Wincek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yahya Balkar in the 39th minute of play. In the 41st minute of the match Erzincan FK got a corner. Cuiavia Bydgoszcz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Eser Poyraz ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Eser Poyraz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jurand Wincek quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After the first half Erzincan FK were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Stasio Bartoszek made a kick off. Napoleon Bucyki's late challenge caught a Erzincan FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Napoleon Bucyki helped the player get up and apologised.
