With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jens-Ola Eklund prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Stelios Kyriakiou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Avesta's Jens-Ola Eklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Avesta from getting a goal against them. 17 minutes into the match, Avesta's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Eklund had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonis Livaditis. 23 minutes into the match, Avesta's goal looked a bit too open when Antonis Livaditis came free, but Jens-Ola Eklund reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stelios Kyriakiou could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Jens-Ola Eklund made a huge save. In the 30thth minute of the game Stelios Kyriakiou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avesta's Jens-Ola Eklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Stelios Kyriakiou fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jens-Ola Eklund having to interfere. Errikos Delioridis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jens-Ola Eklund tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charis Panaretos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Albu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Stelios Kyriakiou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Avesta defense, Errikos Delioridis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jens-Ola Eklund. The Avesta fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jens-Ola Eklund should have stopped the shot. Charis Panaretos made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gelu Băcila in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Stelios Kyriakiou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jens-Ola Eklund saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 81 played minutes Hangovers FC got a freekick which was hit by Theodosis Chatzikostas. Charis Panaretos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sabin Albu in the 84th minute of the match. In the 86thth minute of the game Stelios Kyriakiou who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Avesta's Jens-Ola Eklund was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Hangovers FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stelios Kyriakiou was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Hangovers FC fans' excitement grew in the 90th match minute when Hangovers FC's Stelios Kyriakiou looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The audience was convinced that Stelios Kyriakiou's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jens-Ola Eklund was relentless in the 94th minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, Hangovers FC's goalkeeper Charis Panaretos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gelu Băcila. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stelios Kyriakiou in the 96th minute of play forced Avesta's goalkeeper Jens-Ola Eklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Avesta players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hangovers FC.
