Siricio Liotta scored 0-1 in the 13th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Özbek Samet, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 18 minutes into the match, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Özbek Samet narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Italy booed when ΠΑΟΚ FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Kamp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Porziano Marchitelli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sotiris Zacharakis in the 41st minute of play forced Italy's goalkeeper Flavio Vittori to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Italy's Zaccheo Andolina pulled a muscle in his back after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ernesto Tauro during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 42 minutes into the game, one of ΠΑΟΚ FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Özbek Samet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guiscardo Davide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Santiago Silva to make the kick off. Guiscardo Davide took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Özbek Samet. Özbek Samet dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Özbek Samet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sigfrido Auletta in the 56th minute. Italy's Eliseo Cutri managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ernesto Tauro in the 61 minute of the game. In the 63rd minute, Italy's Guiscardo Davide ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Özbek Samet. Özbek Samet yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. ΠΑΟΚ FC's Vassilis Bitsikas was substituted for Savas Karameris. With a little luck, ΠΑΟΚ FC's Özbek Samet got control of the ball when Sigfrido Auletta tried to sneak it across the goal line. A sloppy throw-in by Ernesto Tauro in the 80th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. Özbek Samet showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guiscardo Davide, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Guiscardo Davide kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Özbek Samet. That made the score 0-5 in the 83 minute of play. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Santiago Silva, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Italy's Sigfrido Auletta was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Özbek Samet in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Italy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
