Östen Stor showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Józef Mlynarczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 26th minute of the match. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Östen Stor went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Pucho's goalkeeper Józef Mlynarczyk, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Józef Mlynarczyk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edward Vanderstraeten's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. A throw-in in the 34th minute of the game was made by Romulo Brun with Gilmar Mendes as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Claudio-Paul Caniggia did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-0 to the left of a surprised Casper Claes 37 minutes into the match. Józef Mlynarczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yves Dervaux in the 40th minute of the match. Deportivo Pucho's Józef Mlynarczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yves Dervaux in the 42nd minute of play. Yves Dervaux fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Józef Mlynarczyk having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio-Paul Caniggia in the 47th minute of play forced Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edward Vanderstraeten made a kick off. After 50 played minutes Belgium got a freekick which was hit by Lenny Clocheret. In the 51st minute Östen Stor shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
