Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edward Vanderstraeten started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Edward Vanderstraeten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jeremias Moreno was relentless in the 7th minute of the game. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind ADM Taquaras's goalkeeper Jeremias Moreno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 12 minutes into the match, Edward Vanderstraeten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jeremias Moreno. ADM Taquaras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edward Vanderstraeten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Oliver Bierhoff received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Casper Claes came out and tried to block the shot, but Oliver Bierhoff slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 20th minute. ADM Taquaras's attentive Malcolm Westerberg managed to snatch the ball when Floris Claeys made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. Casper Claes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Bierhoff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jeremias Moreno was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. ADM Taquaras's Cido Cabral was substituted for Wágner Leme. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Oliver Bierhoff sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Oliver Bierhoff came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oliver Bierhoff struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Casper Claes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ADM Taquaras. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oliver Bierhoff to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Oliver Bierhoff had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Oliver Bierhoff was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Casper Claes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Oliver Bierhoff went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Lenny Clocheret kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Oliver Bierhoff cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-2. Casper Claes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Belgium's zone, Oliver Bierhoff stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Casper Claes came out of the goal and Oliver Bierhoff tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. ADM Taquaras's Enio Aparecido was substituted for Oliver Bierhoff. After a rather tough play, ADM Taquaras's Herberto Ribas got a free kick in the 76th minute. Belgium's Casper Claes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enio Aparecido in the 79th minute of play. ADM Taquaras were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Belgium's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Malcolm Westerberg took the corner. A well-hit corner resulted in Herberto Ribas heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 85 minutes into the match, Enio Aparecido had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Casper Claes. Belgium's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enio Aparecido was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-2. In the 88th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Belgium fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Jeremias Moreno made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 93rd minute. After a rather tough play, ADM Taquaras's Malcolm Westerberg got a free kick in the 95th minute. Belgium's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
