After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Eike Hörtnagel managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Fenerbahce Wien's supporters rose to their feet, but Eike Hörtnagel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fodor Daniel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 25 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Stefan Krause came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 36th minute of play forced SK Fenerbahce Wien's goalkeeper Chris Draxl to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 37th minute, Antal Valentin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Chris Draxl was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. After 41 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Vörös Henrik. Hungary's Major Barna got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Krause in the 53rd minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexandros Matsinopoulos's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. In the 58thth minute of the game Alexandros Matsinopoulos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hungary's Fodor Daniel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Stefan Krause stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Stefan Krause tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 64 minutes, Eike Hörtnagel managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Fenerbahce Wien's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eike Hörtnagel was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eike Hörtnagel in the 66th minute of play forced Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thodoris Charalambakis kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After 68 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Takacs Tibor. Alexandros Matsinopoulos took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After 77 minutes, Antal Valentin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hungary and the SK Fenerbahce Wien players grew even worse after the yellow card. Antal Valentin kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brage Thorbjørnsen kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. SK Fenerbahce Wien's Chris Draxl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 84th minute of play. In the 89th minute, Major Barna reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Chris Draxl. The goal made the score 1-3. Fodor Daniel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandros Matsinopoulos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hungary's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
