Manfredonia Calcio 1932's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Giandomenico was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Antal Valentin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 18th minute, Mateusz Smolarek hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alfredo Torelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 20th minute of the match. Hungary were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Manfredonia Calcio 1932's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antal Valentin took the corner. Antal Valentin took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alfredo Torelli. Alfredo Torelli dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Hungary's Fodor Daniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Hungary from getting a goal against them. Ernesto Giandomenico fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Antal Valentin in the 37th minute of play forced Manfredonia Calcio 1932's goalkeeper Alfredo Torelli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's goal looked a bit too open when Antal Valentin came free, but Alfredo Torelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antal Valentin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Alfredo Torelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
