Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Mateusz Smolarek started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Giandomenico, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Mateusz Smolarek had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mateusz Smolarek was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. In the 15th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mateusz Smolarek in the 16th minute of play. In the 17thth minute of the game Mateusz Smolarek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 19 played minutes, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Alessandro Del Piero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Manfredonia Calcio 1932 reached it. 21 minutes into the match, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Mateusz Smolarek sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Kahn narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Tommy Kahn was a little too slow when Mateusz Smolarek got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 26th minute. The score was now 2-0. 33 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Alfredo Torelli. Alfredo Torelli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Frank Sachs charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank Sachs the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 39 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Frank Sachs. Ernesto Giandomenico's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tommy Kahn read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alfredo Torelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. When Achille Barbato fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manfredonia Calcio 1932's protests and gave Achille Barbato a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Manfredonia Calcio 1932 got a freekick which was hit by Achille Barbato. In the 47th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
Alfredo Torelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. Germany's Tommy Kahn played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alessandro Del Piero in the 59th minute of play. Alfredo Torelli made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. After 64 played minutes Manfredonia Calcio 1932 got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Borrelli. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Sachs got free with Alfredo Torelli in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateusz Smolarek in the 70th minute of play. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Mateusz Smolarek sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Manfredonia Calcio 1932 made a substitution. Dennis Di Federico replaced Arturo Borrelli. 77 minutes into the game, Sven Krakouer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manfredonia Calcio 1932 the free kick. In the 77th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alfredo Torelli made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Manfredonia Calcio 1932 made a substitution. Antonio Melani replaced Florian Frezza. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Torelli having to interfere. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
