In the 17thth minute of the game Mateusz Smolarek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Germany's Tommy Kahn was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Germany's Sven Krakouer got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 19 played minutes, Manfredonia Calcio 1932's Alessandro Del Piero shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tommy Kahn came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. Frank Sachs struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Alfredo Torelli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Germany. When Achille Barbato fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Manfredonia Calcio 1932's protests and gave Achille Barbato a yellow card for diving instead. After 44 played minutes Manfredonia Calcio 1932 got a freekick which was hit by Achille Barbato. In the 47th minute, Frank Sachs got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Alfredo Torelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Sachs in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. After 58 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Sven Krakouer. When the match clock showed 73 minutes, the score became 3-1 when Mateusz Smolarek sped through Germany's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. Manfredonia Calcio 1932 made a substitution. Dennis Di Federico replaced Arturo Borrelli. 77 minutes into the game, Sven Krakouer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Germany's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manfredonia Calcio 1932 the free kick. In the 77th minute, Sven Krakouer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alessandro Del Piero in the 82nd minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Germany's Frank Sachs nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albin Holweck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alfredo Torelli having to interfere. Manfredonia Calcio 1932's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
