After 4 played minutes Portugal got a freekick which was hit by Faustino Almeida. Lex Academy's Paco Arzola quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Faustino Almeida, made in the 7th minute of the game. In the 10th minute of the match Lex Academy got a corner. Portugal's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Roman Jursa ran over to the corner to take the kick. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernardo Novaes in the 12th minute. Tomáš Houdek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute of the match, Miloslav Krupička tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Wilson Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, Bernardo Novaes dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim, 2-0. Tomáš Houdek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 27th minute of the match. Tomáš Houdek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Pimentel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd match minute, Portugal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Graciano Coutinho to maneuver through the defense. Tomáš Houdek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 34th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Daniel Pimentel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Portugal's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Pimentel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilson Amorim was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Miloslav Krupička showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 47 minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bernardo Novaes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Felipe Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tomáš Houdek showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Lex Academy's Tomáš Houdek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 57th minute of play. 58 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Novaes came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomáš Houdek showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Moreira in the 62nd minute of the match. 65 minutes into the game, Lex Academy's Bernardo Novaes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Lex Academy made a substitution. Mojmír Houška replaced Leoš Dočkal. Felipe Barreto might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomáš Houdek. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Felipe Barreto ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Novaes in the 74th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Portugal's Felipinho Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tomáš Houdek narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 80 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Bernardo Novaes came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lex Academy's Tomáš Houdek proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Lex Academy from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caetano Moreira in the 91st minute of play forced Lex Academy's goalkeeper Tomáš Houdek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Daniel Pimentel was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 93rd minute. Portugal's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bernardo Novaes in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lex Academy's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
