The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boguslaw Madajczyk having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 6th minute, Antal Valentin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hungary's supporters rose to their feet, but Antal Valentin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Boguslaw Madajczyk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in liverpool team's zone, Antal Valentin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Boguslaw Madajczyk came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the liverpool team defense, Major Barna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boguslaw Madajczyk. The liverpool team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boguslaw Madajczyk should have stopped the shot. 26 minutes into the game, Antal Valentin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Boguslaw Madajczyk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Antal Valentin in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Boguslaw Madajczyk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Antal Valentin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Boguslaw Madajczyk having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Major Barna in the 40th minute of play forced liverpool team's goalkeeper Boguslaw Madajczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Radomil Czeszyk to make the kick off. Hegedus Henrik received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Boguslaw Madajczyk came out and tried to block the shot, but Hegedus Henrik slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 52nd minute. liverpool team's Boguslaw Madajczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antal Valentin in the 59th minute of play. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tytus Piechna in the 63rd minute of play. Hungary's Antal Valentin got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 67 minutes of play, Hungary's Antal Valentin made it 0-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Boguslaw Madajczyk was left in no man's land by his defense there! A hard shot 72 in the game by Major Barna from a close distance when the talented Boguslaw Madajczyk managed to make a qualified save. liverpool team's players were relieved. In the 74th minute, Edgar Kaczor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Boguslaw Madajczyk came out of the goal and Antal Valentin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. liverpool team's Boguslaw Madajczyk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save liverpool team from getting a goal against them. Boguslaw Madajczyk was a little too slow when Antal Valentin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 0-7. The supporters of liverpool team booed when Hungary was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Major Barna didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match was over Hungary could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than liverpool team throughout the match.
