After having played for 36 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Germany booed when Nova Era was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfredão Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Sachs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Alfredo Macedo. Nova Era's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 42 minutes in the game Jailson Leão did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Pedro Coutinho. The supporters of Nova Era booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Dreifuss didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Germany's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Frank Sachs in the 73rd minute. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chris Mergenthaler charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Chris Mergenthaler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After recieving a nice pass, Nova Era's Vito Freire tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Nova Era's Alfredo Macedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Nova Era from getting a goal against them. Tommy Kahn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egídio Vaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Alfredo Macedo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albin Holweck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albin Holweck hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. The Nova Era supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Germany's performance. The match ended with a win for Germany.
