Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. After 20 minutes of play, El Millo de Haedo's Hernán Crespo made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th minute, Bayezit Akçabay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 32nd minute, El Millo de Haedo's Hernán Crespo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tommy Kahn. Tommy Kahn yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fernando Ruisko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 51st minute of the match. In the 78th minute Pedro Gonzalez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Germany players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El Millo de Haedo.
