Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Club Deportivo Polonia's Belarmino Viejo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Xerardo Gasso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Viriato Moura's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. In the 9th minute Aquilino Velazquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 minutes, Graciano Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugal and the Club Deportivo Polonia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Portugal's Graciano Coutinho got a free kick in the 12th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's Belarmino Viejo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xerardo Gasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 16th minute of play. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Daniel Diaz sped through Portugal's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. In the 25th minute, Raul Caetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Portugal booed when Club Deportivo Polonia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Belarmino Viejo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Xerardo Gasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 28th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Diaz got free with Wilson Amorim in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Xerardo Gasso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 35 minutes into the game, Belarmino Viejo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Amorim. Belarmino Viejo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. Xerardo Gasso came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Felipe Barreto. But to his dismay, Felipe Barreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Wilson Amorim made an important save on a dangerous shot by Daniel Diaz in the 41st minute. Xerardo Gasso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viriato Moura to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute of the match Portugal got a corner. Club Deportivo Polonia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Felipe Barreto ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Rodolfo Miranda almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Club Deportivo Polonia's Xerardo Gasso did a great save. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Deportivo Polonia's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Felipe Barreto was slow to take the kick. During this time Portugal's players had a chance to rest. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belarmino Viejo in the 58th minute of play. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Diaz in the 60th minute of play. In the 62nd minute Daniel Diaz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 70th minute of play forced Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Xerardo Gasso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe Barreto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. 76 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Polonia's goalkeeper Xerardo Gasso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felipinho Amorim. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Diaz in the 77th minute of play. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aquilino Velazquez in the 87th minute of play. Xerardo Gasso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias in the 90th minute of play. Felipinho Amorim in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Xerardo Gasso, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Club Deportivo Polonia had played much better football throughout.
